Woman of colour at the coast
Me at the harbourside

A little more about me:

I don’t know about you, but I remember saying things like “I can’t wait to grow up?” and having those irrational dreams of being able to stay up as long as I like and eating whatever I like. If I could go back in time, I would tell mini-me to enjoy her time as a child, because THIS is an alternate universe.

My past

My parents raised me as any parent would, expecting me to be responsible and to achieve the goals that would make them proud. I went to university, lived away, paid my bills and even managed to save a little. I was living the adult life with the student perks and that gave me the false sense of security, that I could handle adulting.

My present

If you have relatives slightly older than you, you probably fell for the “come here” trick. They call you over, and say they won’t hurt you and you get closer. Then WHAM! They attack you with whatever filthy method that they promised they wouldn’t use. That was my transition from student-life to adulthood. I knew what was coming, I was expecting it to be different from university life. But wow, I did not see this coming.

What’s to come

As a Master of Chemistry, you might think I am incredibly smart, but my degree is a piece of paper I used to get a job. The rest of what you see here, is “On-the-job Learning”. 2021 marked the beginning of a new era, and now I document what I’m learning, and hope you get something out of it. (whether its laughs, ideas or relatability)
